Business Experience

Meena has over 30 years of experience working with and consulting for major Multinational Corporations and International Consulting Firms across multiple sectors, including resources, retail, banking and professional services. She is a subject matter expert in business transformation, culture change and top team effectiveness and has consulted for many senior teams across diverse cross-national and business cultures. Meena has a strong track record in leading major business change projects including providing strategic support for restructures, acquisitions and divestments and organisational renewal. She is an experienced facilitator working with teams in Australia, UK and Asia on leader-led change. She is also currently on the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Director coaching panel and is on the executive coaching panels of several global companies. She was awarded an Honours Degree in Psychology at Manchester University, UK and completed the Senior Executive Program at London Business School, UK.

Board Experience

Meena's board level experience includes conducting board effectiveness reviews, board succession and renewal including skills reviews and director coaching. She brings a unique combination of business and organisational experience underpinned by her background as an psychologist. She has also undertaken doctoral level research on the effects and consequences of social identity and power on decision processes in and around the boardroom. Her experience spans both for profit and not for profit organisations. 

Publications

Meena has spent over a decade researching the enablers and barriers to good decision making, culminating in the publication of her highly successful book “The Secret Life of Decisions” published in 2013 by Gower Publishing, UK, and the imminent completion of her PhD (April 2017) on board decision cultures. Meena has been invited to present at international conferences and forums on top team effectiveness and renewal.

Meena has provided advice to a number of global companies including but not limited to Barclays Banking Group, QBE Insurance Limited. Westpac Banking Group, JLL (previously Jones Lang LaSalle), John Lewis Partnership, AMP Ltd, Ericsson, Credit Suisse, EY, GHD, Mars and HSBC. She has held senior roles in ANZ Banking Group, Esso Australia, Hay Group, PA Consulting and Intel.
